The cool side is a smooth, dense knit. Fabrics like this draw warmth away from your skin on contact, which is why it feels cool, the same way a cotton sheet feels cooler than fleece.
A thin layer, not a winter doona
A light quilted fill gives you the comfort of something over you, without the heat of a thick doona.
Heat can escape
The thin build lets warmth out instead of holding it in. Pair it with a fan and a cotton sheet on the really sticky nights.
It is not an air conditioner. It will not lower the room temperature. It feels cool to the touch and helps you stay comfortable under a layer on warm nights.

Our Queen is 200 x 230 cm, a little narrower and longer than a standard Aussie queen quilt (210 x 210 cm). Our King is 220 x 240 cm, narrower than a standard king quilt (245 x 210 cm). On hot nights most people like a top layer that does not hang to the floor.

You do not have to send it back. Posting a doona back to a warehouse overseas costs more than it is worth, so keep it or give it to someone who sleeps hot. One guarantee claim per order.

Does it really feel cool?
Yes, to the touch. The cool side feels noticeably cooler than cotton when you first lie on it and when you move to a fresh spot. It does not chill the room or lower your body temperature, so on very hot nights use it with a fan.
Will I freeze in winter?
No, but it is also not a winter doona. It is summer weight. In cooler months use it soft side up on mild nights, or put it under your regular doona.
Which size do I need?
Single (150 x 200 cm) for single and king single beds. Queen (200 x 230 cm) for double and queen beds. King (220 x 240 cm) for king beds. If you share a queen bed and like the doona to hang over the edges, go one size up.
Why does it ship from China, and how long does it take?
We work with a fulfilment partner whose warehouse is in China, close to where the doona is made. That keeps the price down. It ships within 1‑3 business days and arrives within 8‑15 business days of your order, with tracking the whole way.
Will I pay customs, duty or GST on delivery?
No. The price at checkout is all you pay. Shipping is free.
How do I wash it?
Cold machine wash (up to 30 °C) on a gentle cycle, ideally in a large laundry bag, with a mild liquid detergent. No bleach and no fabric softener, which dulls the cool feel. Line dry in the shade or tumble dry on low.
What if I am not happy with it?
Email us within 60 nights of delivery with your order number and a photo. If you are not sleeping cooler, we refund the full price and you keep the doona. If it arrives faulty or damaged, we replace or refund it, as the Australian Consumer Law requires. See the returns and guarantee policy.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, until it ships. Email [email protected] with your order number and we cancel it for a full refund.
Is it safe for babies and children?
Not for babies under 12 months: keep all loose bedding out of cots and bassinets. Older children can use it like any light doona.
How can I pay?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Link, through Stripe's secure checkout. We never see your card number. We do not offer Afterpay at the moment.
Are there reviews?

Hi, I am Daniel. I run Codext GmbH, a small software company in southern Germany, and Snoozeloom is our first product brand.
We picked this doona because the complaints about summer sleep are always the same: a regular doona is too hot, nothing at all feels wrong, and cheap cooling blankets feel like sleeping under a raincoat. Two sides solves most of that.
We are new, so here is what we can promise instead of reviews: real specs, honest delivery times, a reply from a real person within one business day, and a guarantee that does not make you post a doona back across the world.
